Fall

Fall Arrived!

OK OK it’s not officially Fall…… but it arrived at my house! Hey, it’s the 1st of September people we have the right to pull out the fall goodies now.  WOOT WOOT! I decided to go bold or go home and added a new color to my some what traditional fall decor. It’s BOLD but I’m in love!  The blueish/turquoise is very bold but it’s still a warm color so it works. I love how it pops off of the browns and tans. Enough talk…. here is the seasonal corner in my kitchen! It kindly welcomed Fall into our home today.

So what do you think? Do you like the bold blue? What about those peacock feathers? Is it too bold for the beautiful Fall season? I have a few more blue items under my sleeve! I’ll post them when they are placed in their designated spots….. if you don’t like it give me a second chance lol ;)

My Fall Preview

I LOVE FALL! I’ve been brainstorming and thinking about fall for months and I really can’t wait to start decorating. My fall decor really needs a little revamp this year and I think I might add in a new color…. a BLUISH TURQUOISE COLOR! Do you think I’m crazy for interfering with the traditional fall decor? I hope not ;) Here are a few of my ideas:

I’m definitely going to need a feather wreath! Joann’s has a rockin sale right now and they are only $23.99. I’m still trying to decide if I want to make my own or just give into the $23.99…. I’m leaning towards the “give in”. Gluing all of those feathers looks like it will take years!

I will add some lovely peacock feathers to my wreath to spruce it up a bit.

I still want to stick with some of the traditional looking fall items

I’m totally and completely OBSESSED with fall. As a matter of fact, as I was driving along today, Pier one’s new fall collection caught my eye and caused a MAJOR distraction. I even turned around to see if they were still open… NOPE, they were just setting up all of their fall items. Ah Dang… it’s probably for the better. I always spend way to much on fall decor!  What’s your favorite season?
