If I Lived In Pinterest World

I found this really cute idea and thought It would be fun to create my own pinterest world! Everyone has their dreams and visions of what there house “will someday” be.

So here we go….

If I lived in “

My Kitchen would have open cabinets and a light airy feel

Where we would eat comfort food

and I would have enough time in my day to make my kids awesome lunches

If I lived in “My Pinterest World” my living room would be crisp yet comfortable. I would be brave enough to furnish and decorate it with bold and bright colors

It would have beautiful accesories

and memorabilia and pictures that would tell their own story

If I lived in “My Pinterest World” my boys would have the coolest  room that they could possibly dream of

and a backyard where they could escape for fresh air and let their

creativity and imaginations run wild

Our home would have detailed Craftsman Ship

and be nestled away in a neighborhood with big mature trees.

So that’s ““. Do you dream of  living in Your Pinterest World?

Master Bedroom Design

My original plan for our bedroom was to create a beachy retreat feel. I’ve been gradually working on it but I’m not satisfied with the way things are turning out. Also, I decided that my resolution (design wise) for the new year is to be BOLD. I desperately need to jump out of my comfort zone and start experimenting with color. So, the plans for our bedroom have changed, and I might be in love! I want our bedroom to have color that both my husband and I like and my goal is to create an area that feels fancy and mature. So, here are my plans:

1.Metal Plaques purchased at Rod Works.

2. Create a DIY headboard similar to this one. I would love to make an upholstered bed frame to go with it, we’ll see!

3. I am in LOVE with white curtains a dark trim right now. So fancy! I plan to create a DIY version of these beauties.

4. The blue and white stripes will balance out the room a little and coordinate well with the other patterns I have planned for the room.

5. I LOVE these pillows! Here’s the dilemma….. I almost shat my pants when I found out how much a yard of that pretty floral fabric costs! It’s Schumacher’s Hot House fabric and don’t you worry…. it’s only a mere $105 a yard! I’m on a desperate search for the knock off version. Wish me luck :)

I’m still deciding on paint colors and trim work so I can’t do much until the room is painted. I’ll keep you updated!

Thriving Thursdays

I’m working on a formal living room for a client right now and this is the vision board I’ve put together for her room. It’s not your “traditional” formal room but I love it! It’s warm, bold colors are so inviting and comforting. She has plans to take on a really awesome/daring project to purchase an old piano and repaint/refinish the entire thing! The piano will be painted a dark gold color with a dark glaze/distressing. The hot pink Ombre Art is a DIY project I found over on Danielle Oakey’s site. My client is going to recreate the art using different shades of green. It should all pull together perfectly.
