2011 SLC Parade of Homes – Make A Wish Room and Kids/Main Bath

This bedroom is dedicated to a little boy whose wish was to go to Lego Land. His wish was granted and this room is in honor of him. A company was hired to do all of the mural painting and the architect, Walker Home Design, donated and decorated the room.

This is the main/kids bath. I wanted the bathroom to be designed as a kids bath but with a mature touch. I think the natural tone of the beach wood accents the green paint well.

Remember my starfish artwork that I made? They worked out GREAT for this bathroom!

Tomorrow is the Master Bed and Bath; I’m in LOVE with the paint color! Thanks for following along. I hope your enjoying the tour :)

2011 SLC Parade of Homes – Craft Room

Decorating an entire home in a short time frame on a tight budget is STRESSFUL! I decided to call in the pro’s and asked Sausha if she would help me out. She is AMAZING! If you’ve never seen/read her site you have to check it out. I love every single piece of furniture she refinishes. Her glazing and distressing technique ROCKS! I wanted to do something a little different in this spare bedroom so she suggested a craft room…. so a craft room it is!

That blue hutch is no ordinary hutch…. believe it or not it use to be a GUN CABINET! SAY WHAT? I know…. she amazes me too! It’s the perfect piece for any craft room. All of those little nooks at the very bottom hold all of your knick knacks perfectly. See that long open space on the right; she used it to stash those lovely wrapping paper rolls (perfection I tell ya). I’m in LOVE with her hutch…. if I had a craft room in my house I would definitely be snaggin this up!

Make sure you stop by Sausha’s site …. take a look around…. buy some of her rockin furniture…. and don’t forgot to leave her some really nice comments ;)

Tomorrow you will see the Make A Wish Bedroom and the Kids/Main Bath. I hope you’ve enjoyed the home so far!

2011 SLC Parade of Homes – Office and Entry

The entry has a beautiful medallion on the center of the floor and amazing 14ft tall ceiling. It’s simple entry table and mirror brighten up the space and welcome you in. The office also has 14ft tall ceilings and has great architectural detail with a very traditional feel.

Tomorrow I’ll show you the awesome Craft Room that Sausha from put together for me!

2011 SLC Parade of Homes House #9

This is a beautiful home full of amazing architectural detail. The interior design portion was done on a tight budget; which was a great learning experience for me. I have no problem decorating on smaller budgets but I’ve always decorated and added pieces to my home over time. So having a tight budget and a small time frame was quite the challenge.

This is the first house that I’ve decorated other than my own and it was a blast! I learned A LOT about my personal decorating style and built up a little confidence. The experience forced me to finally  jump outside of my comfort zone and go with my instincts. I’ve still got a lot to learn but its a never ending learning experience isn’t it? Due to the mass amount of pictures I’ve taken; I’m going to do a house tour and group them together over the next couple of days!

Enjoy :)
