Fun Surprise

I got a fun little surprise! A cute nurse at work was at our local thrift store (Deseret Industries) and found a stencil for TWO BUCKS! She thought of me and snatched it up! Look what I have……

Now I need to decide where I’m going to use this bad boy! Laundry Room, Master Bathroom, accent wall in my living room…. hmmmm decisions decisions! Do you like it?!

Thanks Anitra :)

My Fall Preview

I LOVE FALL! I’ve been brainstorming and thinking about fall for months and I really can’t wait to start decorating. My fall decor really needs a little revamp this year and I think I might add in a new color…. a BLUISH TURQUOISE COLOR! Do you think I’m crazy for interfering with the traditional fall decor? I hope not ;) Here are a few of my ideas:

I’m definitely going to need a feather wreath! Joann’s has a rockin sale right now and they are only $23.99. I’m still trying to decide if I want to make my own or just give into the $23.99…. I’m leaning towards the “give in”. Gluing all of those feathers looks like it will take years!

I will add some lovely peacock feathers to my wreath to spruce it up a bit.

I still want to stick with some of the traditional looking fall items

I need to snag some wheat to add to my apothecary jars

I’m totally and completely OBSESSED with fall. As a matter of fact, as I was driving along today, Pier one’s new fall collection caught my eye and caused a MAJOR distraction. I even turned around to see if they were still open… NOPE, they were just setting up all of their fall items. Ah Dang… it’s probably for the better. I always spend way to much on fall decor!  What’s your favorite season?

Thriving Thursdays

I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! We are trying to soak up the last little bit of summer so we’ve been spending a lot of time outside! Here’s a cheery vision board to celebrate our last few weeks of warm sunny weather.

Striped Bathroom Reveal

I finished my boy’s bathroom and I’m in LOVE! I changed the paint color from the “builder tan” and did blue and off white stripes. I switched out the brown decor for some neutrals and a few accent colors. It’s made the bathroom SO much brighter!

I purchased the cute bird shower curtain from West Elm.

All of the awesome glass jars are my antique finds that I’m still in love with.

I found the old shower caddy at The Nook and Cranny antique shop in Lehi.

These cute DIY arts were the easiest thing ever! I used Carly Kay’s idea and they are perfect in the bathroom!

So what do you think? You can check out the before pictures here if you dont remember the lovely brown ;) We love it and my sweet boys like their blue bird bathroom!
