A nurse at work told me about a little antique store in town that is trying to get rid of some stuff. I stopped by on my home from work and I was in HEAVEN! She had a lot of awesome antiques. She had a few old steamer trunks that I REALLY REALLY wanted but the price was a bit to high for me. They were perfect and my living room would have gladly welcomed one as a new coffee table. Maybe next time.
That little scale is my absolute favorite find! It’s the cutest turquoise blue color and has the perfect vintage touch.
She had a TON of the old Ball bottles. You cant see their true blue perfection in the picture but they are awesome. I think the little basket in the back is an old vegetable basket.
Two washboards and an old oil lamp. That lamp is awesome also. It has a rustic brown look that I just love.
I’m not so sure this is an antique but I’ve been searching for a globe to put in my son’s airplane room. I didn’t want the usual blue globe…. I wanted something with that little vintage touch. Its perfect and exactly what I was looking for!
The best part…… all of these AWESOME antique finds only cost me
$40.00
I’m in Love!
Sooo awesome! I need your eye! I would have thought to buy some of that stuff, but look at it! It’s all awesome!!
My friend Sharon was so glad that her “treasures” are finding a happy home with you!
LOVE IT!! What is the store called and where is it?? I would love to check it out ;)
Yes, what is the name of that little antique shop called?? I want to check it out too!!
I fixed my comments so I can reply now! Phew! It use to be an actual store but the lady want’s to get rid of all of her stuff. It’s in Draper off of 1300 E and around 130th S. It will be on the West side of 13th. She boards horses so it’s a big area with a bunch of horse stalls. I can get a more accurate address if you want! I’m not sure if she has much left but I can find out before you go :)
The address is 13254 S 1300 E in Draper… it isn’t a shop, but a collection of antiques that need new homes. Stop by Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 4pm and ask at the house for Sharon. Since it’s a boarding stable, the place is named “Antique Acres.” They don’t really answer the phone, so it really is for the best just to show up.
Thanks Anitra! You explained it perfectly! I’ve had a few inquires about her antique place so I’m glad you posted this for me :)
Forgot to say – yes, she has a ton of stuff left. Most inspirational find: a box full (at least a hundred) of old spoons, tastefully aged, in all sorts of scroll-y, flower-y, formal-y patterns… vintage pint-sized milk bottles… a couple of copper kettles with wooden handles.
