Spring Cleaning ~ Cleaning Products

Do you have the Spring Cleaning fever? ha ha Mine has sorta kicked in. I’ve found a few cleaning products, that I really can’t live without, and I thought I’d share them with you. These are all just random products that I thought I’d try and I really like them.

The one that I’ve been using for a LONG time is the lovely:

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

I have really tall white baseboards and these bad boys get every single black scuff off. My baseboards look brand new after I take a magic eraser to them. These also work well to remove any scuffs, crayon, or other child inflicted mark on your walls.

Green Works

Clorox released a new cleaning line a few years ago. They claim to use naturally derived ingredients and they stress the fact that there aren’t harsh chemical fumes in their products. I’ve not done research on this to determine if its actually “green” but I do know that I like the way it works. Its smells really fresh, cleans up well, and doesn’t have the harsh chemical fumes.

Meyer’s Lavender All Purpose Cleaner

I’ve only been using this cleaning product in our home for a few months. I bought it because it claims that 98% of its ingredients are naturally derived and its lavender scented (LOVE).  I like to use natural cleaning products when I can and I like that its scented with oils. It brings that “natural/earthy” smell into your home. It, like the green works, has a very fresh scent to it. This is a concentrate all purpose cleaner that will last you forever! You dilute a small amount in a spray bottle or bucket and your set! I find myself using this more often than the green works spray.

Better Homes and Gardens

To keep my home smelling fresh I like to use wax cubes (used in wax warmer)  from Better Homes and Gardens. I purchase mine at Walmart for $2 a cube. They are similar to the Scentsy wax cubes but much cheaper and the scent lasts just as long. My favorites are Spiced Pumpkin Pie, Black Pomegranate Plum, Creamy Tahitian Coconut, and Apple Cider. My absolute favorite and most used scent is Lemongrass Verbena.

Kitchen Design

Why is it when I’m in the middle of a re-design I find a bunch of really awesome things that I want for another room? Does this happen to anyone else? I always have this awesome vision for my room, and then when I finally start working on it, I kinda loose it and get inspirational OVERWHELM for a different room. So weird! Yes, I’m still working and going strong on my master bedroom, but I can’t stop thinking about my darn kitchen. Let me just show ya a few of the things that have distracted me lately…..

This industrial pendant light from Home Depot caught my eye especially at a price of $24.88.

I found these lovely chairs on Overstock a few months ago.  I was searching for them to put this post together and they dont have them in my color anymore! EEEK I totally should have impulse bought them…. now I kinda regret it. These are the same chairs but the ones I liked matched the pendant light above. These are an AWESOME deal at $157.49 for four of them.

No worries I found a few alternatives that I think I might like even better. I like these for the end of the table at $150 for two.

and these for the sides of the table at $118.84 for two. They are more expensive than my industrial metal chairs but they are lovely!

Ikea has a few kitchen islands that I’m totally in LOVE with.

I really like this style at $199. I would paint the legs/bottom white and stain the top a dark walnut.

While I’m on this inspirational picture sharing kick…. I might just have a new little idea up my sleeve for my accent wall. Brooke at All Things Thrifty is adding a faux brick accent area in her home right now. I’m waiting for her reveal and tutorial to see how it turns out ;) I repined a few of her inspiration pictures on
