Don’t run and hide…. I promise I’ve not lost my mind! We have a really cute consignment store that I stop/drive by every now and then. The other day they had an outdoor table set that had these “to die for” wicker/rattan chairs. I know I know… wicker really?
When I hear the word wicker this is the image that pops up in my mind
and I pretty much want to crawl into a corner and hide. Ha ha no really. Its great and all just not my style.
These “to die for” chairs were A-H-MAZING! I only needed two of the four chairs and assumed they probably wouldn’t sell them separate. I walked away. Ya know when you walk away from something and you just CANT stop thinking about it? That’s how I was with these chairs. I let the thought sit for a few days and I caved in. I called to see if they would sell me just two of the chairs and….. they were SOLD!!!!
I’ve searched for a picture of what they looked like but I can’t find the exact chair. They were a pretty good mix between these two though and I planned on using them in my living room.

If you aren’t convinced that wicker/rattan chairs can be totally flippen awesome just hold on to your seat and take a look at these bad boys

They kinda give wicker a new name right!
Darn it, I wish you could have got them! You will have to keep a look out for ‘to die for’ wicker chairs though. :)
Oh, sorry you missed out on your chairs, regret is not a good feeling. I love wicker, but that´s baskets and such for storage, and 80´s bad furniture… not so much. But there is something about wicker chairs, the sound they make and how they feel… I also have a wicker basket for my dog, and I love the sound of her turning about in it at night. :)
It was a bummer! I totally agree on the comfort and sounds of the wicker chairs. There really is just something about them ;)
Just found your blog and have to comment here first. I love the Storsele chair from Ikea, and it looks like your inspiration:
