I found this padded lap desk at the DI for $5.00. I really needed a serving tray and boy oh boy did it live up to its potential !
 I removed that hideous padding and primed and painted the whole thing

I love painting things cream when they were originally black. The distressed look is more dramatic; it’s my favorite!

I mod podged a yellow damask paper on the inside and covered the back with a light grey. I LOVE how it turned out!
